Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: October 1, 2025 | Last Updated: August 16, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By setting up a Picstow registration, accessing the cloud interfaces, or installing client packages, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

If you do not agree to these clauses, do not initialize an account, upload assets, or download the application files. We reserve the right to revise or update these terms at our sole discretion.

2. User Accounts & Identity Registration

To claim storage space, you must register a primary profile. You assume total responsibility for maintaining confidentiality of local client credentials.

You must report any unauthorized activity immediately. Picstow cannot recover assets or reverse actions taken by parties possessing your local decryption keys.

3. Billing, Downgrades & Storage Quotas

Certain services require recurring subscription fees. Fees are billed pre-paid monthly or annually and constitute non-refundable credentials.

A. Storage Exceedance

If your storage requirements exceed your defined quota, upload capabilities will be suspended until your plan is upgraded. Files will never be deleted without 30 days email notice.

B. Non-Payment Downgrades

Accounts failing to settle subscription invoices will be downgraded to the Free 5GB tier. If your data footprint exceeds 5GB, files exceeding the quota may be scheduled for permanent disposal.

4. Intellectual Property and Content Rights

You retain 100% intellectual ownership of your media.

By uploading files to Picstow, you grant us a limited, worldwide license solely to perform operations requested by you (e.g., sharing a link, compiling an album, generating backups). Picstow does not claim any advertising, licensing, or commercial distribution rights over your media.

5. Acceptable Upload Compliance

You represent and warrant that your catalog uploads comply with applicable regional copyrights.

  • No CSAM or Exploitation Focus: We maintain a zero-tolerance policy. Violators will yield instant account termination and reports to NCMEC.
  • No Malicious Payloads: Uploading malware, virus payloads, or script exploits targeting cloud storage boxes is strictly prohibited.
  • No Impersonation: Sharing links claiming fake brand affiliations or phishing templates will cause permanent IP ban.

6. Disclaimers, Liabilities & Governing Law

Services are provided on an "As-Is" and "As-Available" baseline:

Picstow shall not be liable under any legal theory for lost profits, data erasure, corruption of files, or computer failures. These terms are governed under the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflicts of law.
